Mount Nebo is about 45 minutes out of Brisbane’s city centre and located adjacent to the D’Aguilar National Park. It is part of the D’Aguilar Range which includes other mountains such as Mount Pleasant, Mount Glorious and Mount Mee. The village of Mount Nebo is named after the mountain on which it is located. The mountain is the source of Enoggera Creek. Approximately 600 people live between The Gap and Mount Glorious, many concentrated around the village of Mount Nebo, which consists of a primary school, a village hall, a post office, 2 cafes, a real estate agency and a remedial masseur. The village is 549 meters above sea level, ensuring cool summers and cold winters.
Mount Nebo offers numerous activities ideal for day visitors – wonderful bushwalks where you’ll find rocky waterholes, mountain streams, subtropical rainforest and amazing views out to Moreton Bay – it’s a great place to get back to nature and escape the hustle and bustle of city living.
